Let's
suppose you're like most of us and you tend to get disorganized from
time to time. You'd like to get that desk cleared off and those
computer files straightened out; but you never seem to have enough
time. You're not sure you know the best way to get organized
even if you had the time.
Next, someone comes along and tells you that the answer to your
problem, dilemma, prayers, is on the Internet. Well, yes, maybe,
you think, but if finding something on the Internet is anything like
the experiences you've already had with it, that's a non-starter.
You once spent hours trying to find a bit of information about
weddings just before you were married; and after all that you still
didn't get the answers you were looking for. At another time you
agonized through pages and pages of job sites looking for some advice
about a career change and guidelines for preparing a resume.
Yet again, a friend of yours came back from taking some hospital tests
and announced that he had leukemia. The doctor really didn't
have time to tell him much about his condition or treatment. The
friend had heard that he could find out more on the Internet, but he
really didn't have a clue about where to begin or how to go about it.

This entire website, with its sixty-four pages and sixty-four
different topics, is dedicated to making it easier to find useful
information on the Internet.
Obviously, there are important topics that haven't yet been fleshed
out; however, those that have been include frequently sought-after
information. They have all been regularly updated and the links they
provide have been carefully selected.
No doubt many topics have other valuable links that I missed or
decided (for many reasons) not to include. Throughout, I have made a
concerted effort to separate the good from the bad. Everything
considered useless trash has been left out. Only those sites
seen as the most relevant, interesting and informative have been
included.
What makes information-gathering easier, therefore, is that I have
gone a major step beyond the search tools and evaluated the sites
inserted in each page. This results in saving surfers a great
deal of research time.
I don't claim to be an expert on all of the topics included nor
perfect in my evaluations of the websites. I do claim to
have enough expertise as a researcher to distinguish websites that
offer relevant information and easy assimilation of information into
knowledge as well as those that communicate effectively.
I welcome comments,
favorable or otherwise, on any and all of these pages. Should
you feel that I have omitted an important website on any of the
topics, please let me know. I will be happy to consider
its inclusion. If you'd like to see a topic added that hasn't
been included, I will also take your request very seriously.
